Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator I AGGand to transport materials across the quarry, processes that require night shift coverage. You will operate a variety of heavy equipment, perform daily inspections, and help maintain safe, productive operations.

Candidates should be able to work in varying weather, follow safety protocols, and communicate with quality personnel. This role requires endurance and a team-focused approach in a fast-paced quarry setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience working in varying weather elements; quarry experience preferred.
• Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
• Able to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Primary operations of haul trucks; water trucks, rock breakers and fuel truck.
• Operate mobile equipment including front end loaders, haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift and report problems.
• Correct malfunctions or safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
• Perform cleanup to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate counts of material additions.
• Communicate safety, maintenance and production needs.
