Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator I for night shift to support quarry operations across North America. You will move materials and operate heavy equipment throughout piles, trucks and crushers on a nightly schedule.

The role requires stamina, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities to learn plant flow and screening processes. Overtime and shift work may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Experience operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations and screening.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred.
• This job requires shift work, callouts, overtime, weekends and holidays; accommodations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks; water trucks, rock breakers and fuel truck.
• Operate mobile equipment including front end loaders, haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, fuel and skid steer loaders.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift and report problems.
• Correct malfunctions or safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
• Perform cleanup to maintain a safe working environment.
• Take accurate counts of material additions as required.
• Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and adjust material blends as needed.
• Communicate safety, maintenance and production needs.
