Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant (PCT) for the Voorhees, NJ location to support patients during night shifts and ED responsibilities. He/she will assist with activities of daily living and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy/ECG if certified, and clear communication of changes in patient status to RNs. The role emphasizes patient education and adherence to standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a PCT course or RN fundamentals nursing coursework.
• Certifications: BLS; phlebotomy training required for the ED positions.
• Strong communication and basic patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Document changes in patient status and communicate with RN/LPN.
• Participate in patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support orientation of new hires.
