Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Night Shift Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff and patient care in a part-time, on-site role in South Jersey. The PCT assists with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic procedures under RN/LPN direction, ensuring safety and timely communication with the care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/fundamentals nursing/CNA program or equivalent, and a BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Completed a PCT course, fundamentals nursing course in RN program, CNA program, or equivalent 1 year of direct patient care.
• BLS certification.
• Phlebotomy training/education is required for Emergency Department positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care).
• Perform vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, catheter care as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, report changes to RN/LPN.
• Reinforce patient and family education and safety.
