Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Voorhees, NJ area. This on-site role supports Registered Nurses/LPNs in caring for patients, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring safety and comfort during the night shift.

Typical duties include vital signs, basic nursing tasks, phlebotomy when certified, and collaborating with the care team to maintain high standards of patient care. A High School diploma or GED with a PCT/CNA credential is required.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of basic patient care skills.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• BLS certification is required.
• Phlebotomy training is required for the Emergency Department positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding).
• Take vital signs and assist with point-of-care testing when directed.
• Support patient safety and isolation precautions and safe patient practices.
• Reinforce education provided to patient and family by the care team.
• Assist in orientation of new hires and participate in quality initiatives.
