Job summary

Virtua Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant under RN/LPN supervision to support daily living activities and plan of care.

Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, mobility assistance, vital signs, phlebotomy/ECG as certified, and contributing to patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT course, CNA program, or equivalent of 1 year direct patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; phlebotomy training may be required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and mobility.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning and Foley care as directed; notify RN/LPN of changes.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Support in orientation of new hires and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Contribute to patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
