Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and clear communication with the healthcare team and family.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA/RN program or equivalent experience, and BLS certification. Phlebotomy/EKG training may be required for ED roles. Competitive hourly rate and benefits apply.

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and mobility/transport.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN and responds appropriately.
• Reinforces education for patient and family regarding care needs and safety.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
