Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ, seeks a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision. Night shift, 12-hour rotation, 18 hours per week, on-site position. You will support the healthcare team and communicate with patients and families while upholding high professional ethics.

Responsibilities include helping with bathing, dressing, mobility, vital signs, and phlebotomy if certified. Requires BLS; additional ED phlebotomy training desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT course, RN fundamentals course, CNA program, or equivalent patient care experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley care as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified; communicate changes to RN/LPN.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and participate in performance improvement.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
