Qualifications

• Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, hygiene) and mobility.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and catheter care as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN and responds appropriately.
• Reinforces patient/family education on care needs and safety.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
