Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Per Diem, part-time Patient Care Technician in Marlton, NJ to assist with daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision. You will help with mobility, hygiene, and patient comfort while supporting the care team and upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include vital signs, basic nursing tasks, phlebotomy and EKGs where certified, and clear communication of changes in patient status. BLS is required and ED roles require phlebotomy training.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must have completed a PCT course, a fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, CNA program, or have worked an equivalent of 1 year of direct patient care.
• BLS certification is required.
• Phlebotomy training/education is required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient status; support RN/LPN and care team.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, and Foley catheter care as directed.
• Reinforce patient and family education and participate in performance improvement activities.
