Job summary

Virtua in Marlton, NJ seeks a Night Shift Patient Care Technician to support patients under RN/LPN supervision and participate in the care plan. You will assist with daily activities, communicate with the healthcare team, and maintain high standards of professional ethics.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection if certified, phlebotomy and EKGs when applicable, and reinforcing patient education. On-site, part-time per diem position emphasizing teamwork and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a PCT course, a fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or have worked an equivalent of one year of direct patient care.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of patient care skills and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and mobility.
• Perform standard precautions and care of patients in isolation.
• Measure vitals, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning and Foley care as directed by RN/LPN.
