Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Orthopedic & Spine Inpatient Unit during night shifts. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA program or equivalent experience, and BLS certification. Phlebotomy/EKG duties may be included where certified.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT course, a fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent of 1 year direct patient care.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training/education required for Emergency Department positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility.
• Perform vital signs and basic nursing tasks under RN/LPN supervision.
• Support isolation precautions and safe patient care practices.
• Assist with phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Contribute to patient education and satisfaction initiatives.
