Job summary

Virtua Medical Group in Voorhees, NJ, is seeking a Patient Care Technician under RN/LPN direction to assist with activities of daily living, communicate with the healthcare team, and support patient well-being.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, vital signs, point-of-care testing, and documentation; phlebotomy and EKGs if certified. Requires high school diploma or GED, BLS, and completion of a PCT/CNA-like program or one year of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic patient care skills and standards.
• Must have completed a PCT course, a fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, CNA program, or equivalent direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting) and mobility.
• Support healthcare team and communicate changes in patient status.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and catheter care as required.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Reinforce patient and family education and participate in improvement initiatives.
