Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ, is seeking a part-time PCT for the Ortho Stroke Unit. Under RN/LPN supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and help maintain safety and comfort for patients and families.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA program, BLS, and phlebotomy/EKG training if applicable. This position offers supportive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting and mobility.
• Demonstrate standard precautions and safe patient practices.
• Perform vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning and Foley catheter care as directed; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Notify RN/LPN of changes in patient condition and participate in care planning.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
