Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision. You will support patient care planning, communicate with the healthcare team, and help ensure high standards of professional ethics.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, performing vital signs and point-of-care testing, and reinforcing patient education in collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication skills and ability to support patient activities of daily living.
• Knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, hygiene).
• Take vital signs and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Assist with isolation precautions and safe patient practices.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identify changes in patient status and communicate with RN/LPN.
• Support patient education and care planning.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and orientation of new hires.
