Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience (≥6 months).
• CNA graduate with EKG & Phlebotomy course + PCT eligibility and hospital experience.
• PCT Certification through NHA with hospital experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon entry.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional nurse in patient care tasks and maintains a safe, compassionate environment.
• Participates in data collection for unit quality and patient satisfaction programs.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Performs tasks such as phlebotomy, fingersticks for glucose, and ECGs as assigned.
• Ensures patient environment and supplies are safe, clean and orderly.
