Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital on the LOH campus is seeking a Patient Care Technician for 8th Floor Rehab, part-time night shifts. The role supports licensed nurses, delivers compassionate care, and helps maintain unit safety and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with data collection for quality improvement, upholding core values, and ensuring timely response to patient needs while respecting privacy and dignity across diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience.
• CNA graduate with coursework in EKG and Phlebotomy and PCT certification eligible with at least 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of NYU Langone Health Core Values and incorporates them into duties.
• Assists in the collection of data for unit Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Supports the nurse in reviewing patient/family responses and satisfaction.
• Assists in maintaining patient environment, equipment, and safety.
• Answers patient call lights promptly and fulfills assistance requests.
