Mass General Brigham's Cooley Dickinson Hospital seeks a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for a 36‑hour weekly night position. The role includes direct patient care, clerical tasks, and unit duties, with responsibilities in telemetry and critical care observation as needed. It is part of the 1199SEIU bargaining unit and reports to the Nurse Manager.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, and current BLS certification. Healthcare experience and strong multitasking are preferred traits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Nursing/medical certification or active nursing program with clinical experience required.
• 6 months to 1 year nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Health care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties and clerical tasks.
• Support unit needs and patient safety, including 1:1 observation when required.
• Operate within unit policies and report to the Nurse Manager.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

American Heart Association BLS certification

Nursing Assistant certification

Medical Assistant certification

Enrollment in nursing program (6 months clinical experience)
