Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support direct and indirect patient care on a 36-hour schedule.

The PCA will perform routine patient care, plus clerical and unit duties, and may serve as a patient care observer when 1:1 monitoring is needed. The role requires completion of an arrhythmia course for telemetry/ICU competency and interaction with patients at their intellectual level.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Ability to perform routine patient care activities under supervision.
• Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant certification or nursing student with 6 months clinical experience.
• 6–12 months nursing assistant experience required.
• 1–3 years secretarial experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and handle stress.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Typing skills and computer experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties.
• Assist with clerical, supply, and messenger tasks as needed.
• Monitor patient safety and observe 1:1 situations when required.
• Coordinate with licensed nursing staff to ensure quality care.
• Contribute to unit operations and workflow efficiency.
