Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, part of our system. The role includes direct patient care, clerical, supply, and messenger duties, with 16 hours weekly and day shifts.

The position is within the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit and reports to the Nurse Manager. Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS, and healthcare experience; nursing students with clinical exposure are considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Nursing assistant or medical assistant certification preferred.
• Nursing student with a minimum 6 months clinical experience.
• 1–3 years nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Strong typing, computer and communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and ability to handle stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and non-direct patient care as needed.
• Perform routine patient care activities under licensed staff.
• Handle clerical, supply and messenger duties on unit.
• Support patient safety and observe for changes as required.
