Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support direct and non-direct patient care activities, clerical tasks, supplies, and unit operations. Responsibilities include monitoring patient safety during 1:1 observation and maintaining telemetry competencies where applicable.

The position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Nursing assistant or medical assistant certification required or nursing student with at least 6 months clinical experience.
• 6 months to 1 year nursing assistant experience required.
• One to three years of secretarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct and non-direct patient care duties, including routine patient care tasks, clerical, supply and messenger responsibilities.
• May function as a patient care observer to monitor safety during 1:1 observation and in telemetry/critical care contexts.
