Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Night Shift Representative II, Patient Access. You will verify patient demographics and financial information before or during registration, delivering excellent service to patients and families.

Responsibilities include communicating with case management, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting privacy policies. Spanish fluency is a plus; FC responsibilities may include lab/radiology orders as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written form. Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
• Two-year experience in a hospital/healthcare setting, preferably in registration, billing, cash collections or insurance requirements.
• Proficiency in the use of computers, specifically Microsoft products and email.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information for inpatients and outpatients during registration.
• Provide excellent customer service in dealings with patients, family, physicians, payers, and coworkers.
• Communicate financial/insurance information to case management and financial counseling as appropriate.
