Job summary

Trinity Health in Silver Spring is seeking a Representative II, Patient Access to verify demographics and financial data for patients during registration. You will interact with patients, families and providers while ensuring privacy and accuracy in the registration system.

The role requires strong customer service skills, 2+ years in a healthcare setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and email. Fluency in English, with Spanish preferred in some settings.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred in specific settings.
• Two-year hospital/healthcare registration or billing experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and email; 45 wpm typing.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information for patients during registration.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, physicians and payers.
• Communicate financial information to case management and counseling staff as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy policies.
• Enter orders when necessary and collect patient payments prior to or at service time.
