Job summary

Trinity Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Night Shift Representative II, Patient Access to assist with patient registration and information verification. You will handle demographic and financial data for inpatients and outpatients and deliver excellent service to patients, families and providers.

The role requires clear communication, computer proficiency and the ability to manage confidential information, with bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.
• Two-year healthcare registration/billing experience preferred.
• Typing 45 wpm or higher.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information for inpatients and outpatients during registration.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, physician offices, third-party payers and co-workers.
• Communicate financial/insurance information to case management and financial counseling staff; complete managed care notifications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy and security policies.
• Enter laboratory and radiology orders when necessary.
• Assess financial status, verify and enter accurate information, obtain signatures, and collect payments before or at service.
