Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Representative II, Patient Access for night shift. You will collect and verify demographic and financial information from inpatients and outpatients to support the registration process.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, confidentiality, and accurate data entry into the registration system, with opportunities to collaborate with case management and financial counseling staff and third party payers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred in some settings.
• Two years in hospital/healthcare registration or related area preferred.
• Proficient with computers including Microsoft products and email.
• Typing 45 wpm or higher is required.
• Strong customer service, communication and organization skills.
• Willingness to transport patients and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information for all inpatients and outpatients during registration.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, physician offices and payers.
• Communicate financial information to case management and financial counseling as appropriate.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy policies.
• Enter accurate information into the registration system and obtain required signatures and payments.
