Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Patient Access/Patient Services role within a hospital, ER, or clinic.
• Proven ability to register patients accurately and explain insurance and billing basics.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and direct them to appropriate services.
• Perform accurate patient registration and scheduling in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Maintain patient records and ensure EMR documentation complies with regulations.
• Explain insurance benefits and billing to patients and answer related questions.
• Handle clerical duties: faxing, scanning, telephony, and supplies management.
• Conduct patient exit interviews to gather feedback and aid in improving satisfaction.
• Collect payments based on insurance and hospital self-pay rates and reconcile accounts.
• Help maintain facility cleanliness and order for smooth operations.
