Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for the night shift at our 16-bed small-format hospital.

The role acts as a liaison between patients, payers, and hospital billing, collecting demographic data and out-of-pocket responsibilities to maximize reimbursement. Responsibilities include EMTALA/HIPAA compliance, delivering excellent customer service, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations, and scanning medical records.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience.
• Fluency in English; Spanish language is a plus in certain markets.

Mansioni

• Verify and collect demographic data to enable revenue cycle processing.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain required authorizations.
• Facilitate patient tracking, billing, and collections at service time.
• Maintain and scan medical records; ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer calls professionally.
• Coordinate patient transfers between hospitals when needed.
