INTEGRIS Community Hospital in Del City, OK, seeks a Patient Access Specialist for night shifts (7pm-7am) on a PRN basis. You will serve as a liaison among patients, payers, and the care team to collect demographics and secure out-of-pocket payments, maximizing hospital reimbursement.

You will verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations as needed, and support revenue cycle processes while delivering excellent customer service and compliant care.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Emergency Department registration experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors required.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain compliance with EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA and all regulations applicable to Admissions and Medical Records handling.
• Provide excellent customer service and build quality relationships with customers.
• Identify and triage patients upon arrival to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Answer telephone professionally and relay messages to appropriate staff.
• Obtain signatures on forms and consents.
• Enter complete demographic information to facilitate revenue cycle processing.
• Verify insurance benefits and correct payor and plan in the system.
• Obtain necessary insurance authorizations.
• Pursue collections at time of service in a courteous manner.
• Scan and file registration and clinical documents.
• Coordinate patient transfers to other facilities when needed.
• Respond to medical record requests from patients, physicians and hospitals.
• Maintain cash drawer and log payments, transfers, and admissions.
• Maintain visitor/vendor log.
