Job summary

Touchette Regional Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Patient Access Representative for night shifts to handle patient registration for admissions, emergencies, and outpatient services. You will verify insurance eligibility, process copays, and ensure Medical Necessity is met while maintaining patient confidentiality.

You will assist with data flow between departments, collect payments, and advise self-pay patients on credits and charity options. Strong communication and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months in an office/clerical role preferred.
• Patient access experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by verifying that patient records are up to date and accurate.
• Verify insurance eligibility for each patient and update records accordingly.
• Collect payments and apply payments/adjustments to patient accounts.
• Ensure Medicare Medical Necessity is met and ABN information is provided when needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist in data flow between departments.
