Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) seeks a Patient Access Representative to register patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and schedule appointments. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, confidentiality, and first-contact problem solving within a fast-paced health system.

On-site position supporting a patient-centered registration flow and responsive service across the BILH network. Prior call-center or EHR experience preferred; strong typing and MS Office skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Fast-paced, multi-task environment; able to process electronic information accurately.
• 1–3 years related work experience; experience with computer systems and web-based applications.
• MS Office experience; familiarity with EHR software.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; reconciles cash drawer.
• Completes insurance verification and assigns guarantor as needed.
• Coordinates scheduling while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
