Job summary

Emerus, the leader in small-format hospitals, is seeking a Night Shift Patient Access Specialist for our Harmar, PA location. You will liaise between patients, payers and hospital billing to ensure accurate registrations and maximize reimbursement.

The role emphasizes superior customer service, HIPAA/EMTALA compliance, and timely collection of patient responsibility at the point of service, with night/weekend differentials and 401K matching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Spanish required in El Paso market only, otherwise English only.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographics for accurate billing.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist with prior authorizations if needed.
• Collect out-of-pocket amounts at time of service and maintain payment records.
• Maintain accurate patient accounting data and ensure confidentiality.
