Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to support high-speed beverage production lines on-site.
You will be the on-shift controls expert, writing and debugging ladder logic in Studio 5000/RSLogix, mentoring technicians, and leading automation projects to boost safety, reliability, and throughput.
This night-shift role operates 12-hour 2-2-3 rotations (6 PM–6 AM) with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in industrial automation on high-speed production lines.
- Experience programming PLCs and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong cross-plant communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift (2-2-3).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and industrial-network issues; implement fixes.
- Identify recurring problems and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Maintain backups, drawings, and change records; support commissioning and upgrades.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and operators.
