Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support high-speed beverage production lines on a 2-2-3 night rotation. You will write and modify ladder logic in Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000, troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motion systems, and lead automation-focused improvements.
The role is on-site, salaried, with relocation assistance and a 20% target annual bonus.
Qualifications
- Hands-on PLC programming experience (not just troubleshooting).
- 4+ years in industrial automation on high-speed production lines.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical doc.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert providing Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues; restore production safely.
- Implement permanent corrective actions and PLC/HMI changes.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Maintain backups, drawings, and change records; support commissioning and upgrades.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
