Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks a Manufacturing Controls Engineer for Glendale, AZ, on a 2-2-3 night shift. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations and maintenance to raise throughput and reliability.
The role requires 4+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI/VFD skills, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Hands-on PLC programming beyond troubleshooting; modify ladder logic.
- Willingness to work a 12-hour night rotation (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert providing Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying and packaging equipment.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability and throughput.
- Maintain PLC/HMI program backups and electrical drawings; document changes.
- Provide training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and operators.
