Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Norton, MA location. The role supports the Operations Manager and oversees technicians, coordinators, and service staff on a night shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00pm–8:00am).

Responsibilities include ensuring customer needs are met while balancing financial, safety, and quality targets. Salary is salary-based with a bonus incentive; benefits include comprehensive health plans, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's or higher preferred; experience in maintenance ops may substitute for formal degrees.
• Experience in a maintenance/shop environment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee work analysis, planning, scheduling, and assign tasks to technicians.
• Manage labor and performance for assigned personnel.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and vehicle uptime through proactive communication.
• Control parts inventory and shop tooling needs; ensure safety and EPA compliance.
• Ensure quality inspections and root cause analysis of defects and breakdowns.
• Lead budget/control measures aligned with location P&L objectives.
