Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Norton, MA location.

The role and responsibilities cover supervising technicians and support staff across a shift, driving performance against metrics, and ensuring safety and quality in maintenance operations. Key duties include labor management, customer communication, asset oversight, and collaboration with the Operations Manager to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3 years experience in a maintenance operations environment.
• Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: plan and schedule work to technicians, manage RO review, and allocate tasks.
• Labor management: train and develop personnel and monitor performance.
• Customer management: maintain customer relationships and ensure vehicle uptime and status communications.
• Asset management: oversee shop tooling, equipment, and parts inventory; ensure proper shop appearance and standards.
• Quality management: perform inspections, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement actions.
• Financial management: control maintenance costs, payroll, P.O. approval, and invoicing procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
