Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Norton, MA to support heavy-duty vehicle maintenance with a team of skilled technicians. The role offers weekly pay, shift: third shift 11:00 pm – 7:30 am, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, using state-of-the-art tools. Requirements include high school diploma, basic tools, and diesel repair aptitude; CDL-A is a plus, with potential to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance.
• Experience with diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Works in accordance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines
