Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Nursing Assistant for the Nursing Float Pool. The role involves assisting RNs with daily patient care, documentation in EMR, and ensuring patient safety across shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED/HSED, BLS certification within 45 days, and ability to meet age-specific patient care needs. 24 hours per week with day shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, or GED/HSED.
• Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activities, and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, temperature, pulse, respiration, input/output, and daily weights.
• Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Performs purposeful rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge under RN supervision.
