Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center is recruiting for a part-time Nursing Assistant to join the Nursing Float Pool. The role involves 24 hours per week with two 12-hour night shifts (6:30 pm–7:00 am) and rotating weekends/holidays.

High School diploma or GED/HSED required, with BLS certification to be obtained within 45 days. You will support RNs in daily patient care, document vitals in EMR, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges across units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or HSED required.
• Basic computer/EMR skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to set priorities and maintain organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, hygiene).
• Measure and document vitals and input/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Respond to patient call lights promptly.
• Collect specimens and perform basic tests per protocol.
• Manage nursing supply stock and maintain clean work areas.
• Support patient positioning and transferring with proper technique.
