Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I for the High Point Medical Center Nursing Float Pool in High Point, NC. You will float to acute and intermediate care units, performing direct patient care under the supervision of RNs during 7pm–7:30am shifts.

This full-time role includes weekend rotations and requires a CNA background with BLS certification. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, basic clinical tasks, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program is required.
• Current listing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to support comfort, hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, toileting, transfers, and positioning.
• Measure, record, and report vital signs, input/output, weights, and other patient data.
• Support basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, blood glucose checks, and non-sterile dressing care (per competency).
• Monitor patients with close observation needs, including safety and behavioral precautions.
• Communicate observations and complete documentation per policy and care team direction.
• Assist with range of motion, CPR, postmortem care, and other delegated tasks.
• Provide patient and family education under RN supervision.
