Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Aide for the Nursing Float Pool. This full-time, 36-hour/week night-shift role involves three 12-hour nights (1830-0700) with rotating weekends and holidays, located in Libertyville, IL.

You will support RNs with patient care, maintain EMR documentation, and participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and essential tasks. Required are a High School diploma or GED/HSED, CN A in good standing, and BLS certification within 45 days.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED/HSED.
• Maintain annual hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry; BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measure and document blood pressures, pulse, temperature, respiration, intake/output, daily weights in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding under RN direction and communicate observations and needs to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Complete errands, stock nursing area, and clean equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, nutrition-related tasks, and skin care.
• Ensure infection prevention practices and proper use of PPE.
