Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Night Shift Nursing Aide to support RNs in patient care at our Libertyville facility. You will assist with baths, feeding, mobility, and daily activities while documenting vital signs and patient data in the EMR.

The role includes rounds, transfers, specimen collection, and routine tasks to maintain patient comfort and safety. Required: GED/HSED or HS Diploma, and BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Formación

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization.
• Certification Addendum.
• Maintenance of hospital-based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF) as required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Record vitals (BP, temp, pulse, resp), I&O, daily weights, and other data in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect urine/stool/sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Run errands and maintain stock for nursing area; clean equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and nutrition-related tasks as directed by RN.
• Support skin care and use devices like TED hose and IPC as required.
• May remove IVs, provide post-mortem care, and bladder scans as needed.
• Follow infection prevention policies and proper PPE usage.
