Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (Nurse Aide) at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center – Med Surg: 8 Tower. You will assist the RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, mobility, and positioning, and document observations in the EMR.

Certification requirements include BLS within 45 days and Nurse Aide in good standing. This is a full-time role with 36 hours per week and every-other weekend/holiday shifts.

Formación

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility, positioning, and transfers.
• Measure and document vitals and intake/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient/family observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes including room setup and ensuring patient comfort.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Handle errands, stocking, and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport, aid with nutrition-related tasks.
• Maintain skin care and appropriate use of TED hose and compression devices.
• Remove IVs or perform post-mortem care if directed and required by site.
