Advocate Health in Libertyville, IL is hiring for a full-time Nursing Assistant on the day shift. The role supports RNs with patient care and documentation, including vitals and intake/output, within the Med Surg unit (IU Tower 4). The schedule features three 12-hour days per week with rotating holidays and weekend requirements.

Applicants must have BLS and be a Nurse Aide in good standing per state registry. GED or HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Performs patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Accurately documents vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Adheres to infection prevention and safety policies.
• Maintains patient care equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Measures and records BP, temperature, pulse, respiration, intake/output, weights.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing per protocol.
• Runs errands and maintains nursing area supplies and equipment.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses assistive devices as needed.
• May remove IVs and assist with post-mortem care as directed.
