Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nurse Aide to assist registered nurses in Med Surg, 7 Tower, with 3 12-hour shifts (7pm–7am) and weekend/holiday coverage. The role requires BLS and Nurse Aide certification, strong communication, and careful patient handling.

Responsibilities include daily patient care, vitals, documentation, admits/transfers, and equipment management. The position is full-time with health benefits and union-adjacent support.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for EMR documentation.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Good organization and priority-setting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility.
• Measure and document vitals and intake/output; log in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Respond to patient calls and manage supplies and equipment.
