Job summary

Required BLS certification within 45 days and Nurse Aide registration. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• GED or HSED or high school diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide certification in good standing with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Document vital signs and patient data in EMR; report to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Ensure patient call lights are reachable and answered promptly.
• Maintain nursing area supplies and clean equipment.
• Follow infection control policies and safe patient handling procedures.
• Provide age-appropriate care and safe transfers.
