Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care on the unit. You will assist with bathing, feeding, and mobility, document vitals in the EMR, and help with admissions and discharges under RN supervision.

The role requires basic computer skills, good communication, and strong organizational abilities, with flexibility for nights and every-other weekends including holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities required.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vitals and other patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN promptly.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge procedures and room setup.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as directed.
• Handles errands and stock management for nursing area; cleans equipment and areas.
