Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Nurse Tech for night shifts (3x12s) on-site at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. You will support nursing staff, ensure patient comfort and timely responses while promoting dignity and compassionate care.

Qualifications include CNA or nursing coursework, with direct patient care experience preferred. Role includes shift differentials and comprehensive benefits through MU Health Care.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a nursing program or CNA, with nursing coursework progress.
• CNA or PCT certification or eligible for certification.
• Direct patient care experience within past 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with transfers and meal tray delivery.
• Maintain organized workload and prompt communication with patients and staff.
• Educate and train new team members in Care Team Associate duties.
• Perform duties in routine and emergent situations as delegated by nursing staff.
• Conduct glucose checks and may perform venipuncture as needed.
• Enter patient information accurately into bed-management systems.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and document vital signs as directed.
• Complete unit/department tasks as required.
