Job summary

University of Missouri Health Care is seeking a dynamic Nurse Tech at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO. This PRN, on-site role supports nursing staff by assisting with transfers, meals, hygiene, vitals, and patient care in a fast-paced unit.

The position offers shifts with an additional $2.00/hour differential for evening, night, and weekend work, starting from a base pay of $16.95/hour. Training and compassionate patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in nursing education program or CNA/PCT certification.
• Direct patient care experience in past 3 years is valued.
• UAP training with 100 hours patient care Demonstrated in last 3 years or nursing licensure pursuit.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, meals, and feeding.
• Organize workload, answer unit telephones, and relay messages to patients and families.
• Educate and train new Care Team Associates.
• Handle routine and emergent tasks with nursing staff support.
• Perform patient hygiene, vitals, glucose checks, and specimen transport as needed.
