Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking an RN for the Medical ICU on site in Columbia, MO. Join a compassionate team to assess patient conditions, manage pain, and coordinate discharge planning.

You will educate patients and families about medications and health needs, while collaborating with physicians and nursing supervisors to ensure high-quality care. The role requires MO RN licensure or multi-state compact and at least 1 year of RN experience; the position includes night and weekend shift differentials

Qualifications

• RN license (MO BON or multi-state compact) required.
• 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• On-site hospital nursing role in Medical ICU.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition and nursing needs; set goals and nursing actions.
• Assess, intervene, and reassess patient's self-reported pain using appropriate scales.
• Educate patients and families about medications and illness.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and patient outcomes.
• Maintain nursing care standards and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing supervisors for patient-centered care.
